The numbers are finally in and to no one’s surprise, Taylor Swift dominated Forbes’ Highest Paid Celebrities list by coming in hot at number one.
Seriously though, is anyone really surprised that TSwizzle is sitting pretty at the top of the list? Not only did the popstar fly all the way to the top after ranking at number 9 in 2015, Taylor also managed to DOUBLE her previous high and then some with one hundred and seventy million dollars. That’s literally a lot of dough.
Tay Tay surpassed two of her exes on the list. One Direction came in at number two with a not so close amount of 110 million dollars, while Calvin landed at number 21 with 63 million dollars in his arsenal. If Taylor and Calvin actually stayed together, the two would’ve definitely left Beyonce and Jay Z in the dust with their combined earnings. Speaking of B and Jay, the power couple weren’t too far from each other on the list.
Yonce landed at number 34 with $54 million while Jay was only a few slots down from his wife at 36 with 53.5 million dollars. Adele made her way back onto the list after her long hiatus and landed herself at number 9 with 80.5 million in earnings. Other chart toppers that also landed on the Forbes list were Madonna at number 12 with 76.5 million, Rihanna followed closely behind at number 13 with 75 million, Justin Bieber at number 26 with 56 million, The Weeknd at number 30 with 55 million, and Britney Spears at number 99 with 30.5 million – just to name a few.
And of course, the list wasn’t just famous musicians. Many actors, hosts, TV personalities, and sports stars were on it as well. Cristiano Ronaldo came in at number 4 with 88 million, Kevin Hart landed at number 6 with 87.5 million, Ellen DeGeneres at number 13 with 75 million, Ryan Seacrest at number 30 with 55 million and Kim Kardashian came in at number 42, the reality star’s rank on the list decreased from her 2015 earnings, but she still brought in 51 million and it may not seem like a lot in comparison to her peers, but she’s still raking in the dough.
