Manaweblife's curiosity was rewarded at the field in George Town's Padang Brown along Jalan Johor and this video shows what is is all about. Prawn friiters or cucuk udang is the main serving at this stall that has a long history since 1965. Indeed , it was started by Idris Awang , an ex-soldier from Selangor who moved to Penang and traded from a 3-wheel cart his prawn fritters. Now it is run by his daughter-in-law Cik Noriha who was once working for him. Today Cik Noriha is helped by her daughter Cik Zafirah. Such long history is also reflected in the stall's name YNZ, which are initials of Cik Noriha's husband Yuzak, herself and her daughter's.The legacy lives on for all to enjoy. Especially the golden prawn fritters that come with a special dipping sauce that is spicy-sour and with lots of peanuts.
