Girl Scout In HOT WATER After Selling Cookies Outside Weed Dispensary

A Girl Scout possible broke the rules by selling cookies outside a marijuana dispensary.
But if you ask me, she’s just practicing good marketing.
Tis the season of Girl Scout cookies, you guys, which means young girls all over the country are trying to sell their hearts out to make their troops proud! And by the sounds of this story, these young ladies are NOT messing around when it comes to those sales.
One unidentified 9-year-old Girl Scout sold more than 300 boxes in 6 hours by selling her cookies outside a marijuana dispensary in San Diego on Saturday.
At $5 a box, that’s $1500 dollars! This isn’t a Girl Scout, this is the next Mark Cuban!!
The dispensary, called Urbn Leaf, even promoted the girl’s business strategy of selling outside their doors, postinG a picture of her on their Instagram page along with the caption QUOTE, “Get some Girl Scout Cookies with your GSC today until 4pm!"
FYI, GSC refers to a strain of pot named for Girl Scout Cookies. And yes, I did have to look that up.
The girl’s father was totally supportive of his daughter’s strategy, but the move DID raise the eyebrows of others. Some questioned if selling outside the dispensary broke Girl Scout rules, because Scouts QUOTE, “May not sell on private commercial properties or sites used by the general public”.
It seems that this incident falls in a bit of a grey area, however, because THIS scout did NOT set up a booth in front of the store, but was walking back and forth along the sidewalk of the dispensary with a wagon full of cookies. So it sounds like she won’t be getting in trouble with the Girl Scouts this time around, but might want to lay low on going back to Urbn Leaf for a while, just in case.
Despite some (POP UP/CUTOUT OF JOS OVER ASSETS) #HATERS, (BACK TO NORMAL SCREEN) most people praised the girl’s enterprising skills on Twitter. One user wrote QUOTE, “She’s smart - she found her target audience and went to them. Sales 101.” Another Tweeted QUOTE, “THIS KID WILL BE THE PRESIDENT OF A MARKETING FIRM BY THE TIME SHE IS 16!”
I could not agree more. This kid is awesome and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t deserve to buy a box of thin mints this year.
