Gossip Girl Stars TEASE A Potential Reboot

It’s been 10 years since Serena Van der Woodson and Blair Waldorf graced us with their presence on Season 1 of Gossip Girl and if THAT doesn’t make you feel old I don’t know what will. Yup! That’s right; this fall will mark the 10 Year Anniversary of Gossip Girl! In honor of this, Vanity Fair sat down with the cast to reflect and ask them if there’d be a possibility of a reunion or reboot. Because let’s be real, that’s what we’re all secretly hoping for.
Vanity Fair asked Leighton Meester who plays Blair if she would be open to a reunion and she responded saying “I guess I hear that [reunion talk] in fits and starts here and there, but it’s hard to say," "If everyone was into it and if the timing was right, you know?” She trailed off, “I don’t want to say, ‘No, never…’”
Okay Leighton, we’ll take it. But it sounds like Blake Lively is way more open to it because she responded saying “Of course. I’m open to anything that’s good, that’s interesting, and that sort of feels necessary. …I imagine we all would [consider it]. I can’t speak for everyone else, but we all owe so much to this show, and I think that it would be silly not to acknowledge that.”
So do we. Blake wasn’t the only one that said she was down though. Co-producers Josh Schwartz and
Stephanie Savage agreed they would be down too, saying “[We] could be persuaded [to revisit the world of Gossip Girl] if there were new stories to tell.”
SO could this mean Gossip Girl is coming back!? Or that reunion is happening!? Not for now, but it’s definitely not-not happening.
The V Fair interview also shared many fascinating tidbits and secrets about the show but perhaps the most interesting one to us was the fact that Ed Westwick, who plays Chuck Bass admitted that he STILL doesn’t know who Gossip Girl is! The actor emailed Vanity Fair saying “I still am not sure who GG was lol.” Someone go find Ed because he’s hiding under a rock somewhere. Ed how? I have so many questions about this…
Everyone knows Gossip Girl was Dan Humphrey and we didn’t even work on the show!
