Referring to the case of Michael Garing, who was sentenced to death for the murder of a 41-year-old construction worker Shanmuganathan Dillidurai in the Kallang area in Singapore in 2010, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Liew Vui Keong on Tuesday urged Singapore to commute the death sentence imposed on the Sarawakian for murder.
He also said that a letter had been sent to the Singaporean President who has the discretion over such matters.
