GREATEST VOICES OF MALAYSIA (TRIBUTE)

This is my tribute to our nations finest female voices who have achieved and succeeded in their own ways. They are all unique and talented in what they do. Thank you ladies for giving us spectacular performances throughout the years.

1. Saloma - The DIVA who started it all. She has sung her way into history and have forever been an icon for many

2. Sharifah Aini - Also known as Biduanita Negara she has been singing since the 70's before the appearence of SUDIRMAN and Dato' Siti Nurhaliza.

3. Uji Rashid - The EVERGREEN voice who has sung for many years mostly duets with Hail Amir.

4. Anita Sarawak - Also known as "MISS DYNAMITE" has received an award from the "ASIAN ENTERTAINMENT ESTABLISHMENT" for her endless career as an entertainer. She has also been named as "THE TOP DIVA" in Asia. She has also been performing at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for 20 years.

4. Zaiton Sameon - She was the prime diva during her time with the extraordinary hit "MENARUH HARAPAN". But unfortunately her career was cut short when she met with an accident. Nowadays her vocals are not as strong before but stil she is one of those who lead the way.

5. Ramlah Ram - When she started in the industry she shocked everyone with her big voice compared to her small figure. She belted out high notes like no other. And we all remember that outfit she wore when she san "KAU KUNCI CINTAKU DI DALAM HATIMU".

6. Azlina Aziz - Daughter of the late Veteran Actress / Singer Normadiah who inherited her mothers singing ability. She is one of the singers who is often enough being called upon by the Palace for a private performance during her time.

7. Aishah - One of the members of the FAN CLUB from New Zealand. She was the first Malaysian who spanned her career internationally. She has been singing hits after hits ever since.

8. Shima - Originating from Shima and the boys, Shima was one of the girls back in the days who rocked out with many other female rockers. But she was the only one who stood out along with ELLA.

9. Fauziah Latiff - A singer who was well known for her undenying beauty back then. She is stil singing till today.

10. Nora - A small country girl from Kelantan who made her way to the top winning the whole nation with her remarkable voice with the hit "DI PERSIMPANGAN DELIMA"

11. Nurul - When she came out many people compared her with the ever so talented ZIANA ZAIN. She belted notes that it was nothing to her. This particular performance of her with ZIANA ZAIN was the most unforgettable duets that i have ever seen.

12. Liza Hanim - Liza Hanim's debut album rocketed to the top with her first hit single "GETARAN CINTA DIJIWA". When she first started her singing career many have compared her with FAUZIAH LATIFF.

13. Ella - She has been holding the title QUEEN OF ROCK eversince she was with her band "ELLA & THE BOYS". She always had sold out concerts in her time. She wsa the first Malaysian artist to produce a full album in America.

14. Noraniza Idris - She began singing in the industry with the late Abdullah Cik who she see's as her mentor during that time. It was him who had polished her singing ability and made her the QUEEN OF ETHNIC MUSIC in Malaysia.

15. Ning Baizura - She has started singing at the tender age of 9 with a Soprano mentor from Indonesia Siti Chairani. She competed in "THE VOICE OF ASIA" in Kazakhstan and one 3rd place.

16. Sheila Majid - She won the award of BASF for Best R&B Female Artist in Indonesia in 1987 which has never been won by an international artist. With this success she followed up with a big concert throughout the nation in 1988.

17. Misha Omar - Misha began her career from 'BINTANG RTM' Eventhough she didnt win then, she won the hearts of many with her hit "BUNGA-BUNGA CINTA" and won ANUGERAH JUARA LAGU 2003

18. Dayang Nurfaizah - Dayang became famous for her hit song "SEANDAINYA MASIH ADA CINTA". She has never failed to draw a huge crowd for each performance she makes either its a private or public performances.

19. Jaclyn Victor - The FIRST MALAYSIAN IDOL. Her career was set from that day on. Competing in many international competitions. She has made Malaysia proud in so so many ways.

20. Ziana Zain - What can i say about my forever idol. She has been singing her lungs out for so long and is stil singing till today. She has one many awards including the GRAND PRIZE award for VOICE OF ASIA in Kazakhstan. Her long anticipated latest album is due out this year

21. Dato' Siti Nurhaliza - There is not enough space for me to write in regards to her achievements. She is the actual meaning of the word "DIVA".
