Former finance minister Lim Guan Eng has lauded the government over its decision to pay RM1.5mil compensation to the family of deceased firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim who died in 2018.
He said aside from finding those responsible, the government should pay a similar amount to the family of political aide Teoh Beng Hock and other custodial death victims.
