Halsey Badly INJURES Herself Trying To Save An Insect!

I’ve heard of “don’t go chasing waterfalls” … but I’ve never heard of don’t go chasing butterflies! Halsey… I hope you’ve learned this lesson!

What’s up guys, It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and if you’ve ever tried to help an animal, insect, or any living creature that you thought needed saving, I hope it went a little better than Halsey’s attempt.

The “Nightmare” singer was recently on vacation in Mexico with her new man YungBlud. The two were taking a casual, relaxing stroll through the jungle, as one does, when Halsey spotted what she thought was a butterfly in need.

Now here’s where things get unclear. Somewhere between her seeing the butterfly and reaching for said butterfly, Halsey somehow managed to do this to her toe. She broke it!
Ouchhhh.

To make bad news worse, the butterfly that Halsey was trying to save was, unfortunately, already dead. She turned to social media to post this:
“I was trying to save a hurt butterfly in the jungle. I broke my toe. Turns out the butterfly was already dead.”

Well that is the saddest, MOST defeated Instagram caption that I have ever read.

Halsey apparently is a BIG fan of butterflies. She featured one on the cover art for her song “Without Me” and had butterfly-shaped confetti fall from the sky during her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom tour. It seriously looked epic.

Her caption continued, “I have alien feet, I know. I sacrificed having nice feet when I committed to a life of dancing on stages and saving dead butterflies”.
But I mean, hey, at least Halsey has a sense of humor about it, right?

And on the bright side, she managed to get a vacation pic of those alien feet before the incident ever happened.
Maybe Halsey should keep her feet out of the jungle and somewhere safe – like the Met Gala carpet, or on her boyfriend’s face. I mean, that looks like a pretty soft place to rest your feet, if you ask me.

And because the internet is the internet, people actually thought that she was faking the whole thing.

“Was this before or after your broken toe”? said one person –
“I can’t see your broken toe” said another.
Halsey had to come back to edit her Instagram caption, saying “holy fuck relax. This is from before I hurt my toe DETECTIVES”

She later gave us an update on Twitter. When one fan asked “how’s your toe though?” she replied “BAD!!! Hopefully it heals in the next two days haha”

And we hope so, because in two days she has a performance at iHeart Radio’s Wango Tango, alongside Taylor Swift and The Jonas Brothers.
And after that, she’s booked on three radio shows in California this upcoming week. And let’s be real, hobbling around doing all that with her banged up toe sounds like an absolute “Nightmare!”
