The Home Ministry has asked the Health Ministry to provide real-time MySejahtera data to the police, so that home quarantine violators can be detained.
This comes after the authorities detected 523 MySejahtera check-ins from those who were supposed to stay home as part of a home surveillance order.
About 18 percent of the check-ins by quarantine violators were done at supermarkets, according to Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin.
Hamzah said with the real-time data, police can either move in to detain the HSO violators while they're still out and about or when they're at home.
