Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's decision to withdraw the government's appeal in the Jill Ireland case regarding the use of the word "Allah" has drawn criticism from opposition leader Hamzah Zainuddin.
Hamzah stated that Anwar should have been more knowledgeable and not suggested that the ruling only applied to Sarawak.
Hamzah, a former home minister, emphasised that the seizure of eight CDs in the Ireland case occurred at the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal in Sepang, not in Sarawak.
He also pointed out that the court's three reliefs were not limited to Sarawak either.
