Newly-elected Wanita PKR chief Haniza Talha said that the Rantau by-election would be a good opportunity to put forward a lady candidate for Negeri Sembilan.
She said they would propose a candidate to be considered as the party's contestant for the by-election.
Earlier outgoing PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamarudin had said that for the Rantau by-election, she will propose two women candidates to be considered as the party’s contestant as there were no women chosen as candidates in Negeri Sembilan during GE14.
