James Bond isn’t the only international man of mystery. There’s another famous singer who always has to do things with a certain mystique. He loves leaving little hints and clues that he’s about to drop something big. It’s part of the album cycle process for him, just as much as writing songs and making music videos. Yeah, okay, you already know that I’m talking about Harry Styles. Well, I’m Emile Ennis Jr with Clevver News and Harry has finally announced his new album that you’ve all been wanting so badly. And it all started with a tweet.Yesterday evening, Harry tweeted out a link to his website “Do You Know Who You Are”.Pretty inconspicuous, right? I mean, of course Harry wants to increase traffic to his website. When you click the link, the site directs you to a simple white page with the titular question “Do You Know Who You Are”, which kind of makes me feel like I’m about to take one of those personality tests that they give you at the church of scientology. Well, even if you haven’t been on this website before, the question might sound familiar to you. The words “Do you Know who you are” are repeated in the chorus of Harry’s latest single, “Lights Up”He released this first single on October 10, about a month ago, along with an accompanying music video that already has over 30 million views.
But “Do You Know Who You Are.com” is more than just a reference to Harry’s first single in over 2 years. In the past, it’s been a generator for personalized positive messages. All you have to do is type in your name, click “find out”, and read a short little message signed by “H” himself! The messages were short little affirmations for the reader, like “You are out of your beautiful mind”.And they all ended with the acronym “TPWK”, which stands for “Treat People With Kindness”.This message, which Harry has coined as a signature trademark, was plastered all over his last tour for his first self-titled solo album. It was also featured on a lot of his merchandise. The acronym was also put on posters that Harry had hung up in cities in America and the United Kingdom right before “Lights Up” came out in October. Actually, the last time that Harry shared a link to this website was the day before “Lights Up” was released.
And it was the first time that the website was discovered by any of Harry’s fans, leading us to believe that he just created the domain last month.Of course, it started trending around the internet immediately after people discovered it.But now the same website is trending again for a different reason. After Harry tweeted out the link for a second time on Sunday afternoon, fans who were looking for a little pick me up noticed that they were all getting the same exact message. And the message is “You are patiently waiting for something to happen. TPWK. Love, H”.
The first few people to get the message didn’t think anything of it. But then once everybody started getting the same messages, it got real suspicious. And then he just came out and said it. He’s coming up with his new album “Fine Line”. And I just got to say, Harry, no we are not patient! But we’re going to have to be. At least until December 13th.He tweeted out the release details as well as what could be the cover art of the album.Which some people think resembles the bisexual flag. He’s already talked to Rolling Stone about putting the finishing touches on his new album, and said that it is going to be “all about having sex and feeling sad”.And he’s given us other clues as well.Like when he tweeted “Kiwi walked so Watermelon Sugar could run.”So, we know that Kiwi was one of the singles from his last album two years ago, so I’m assuming that Watermelon Sugar is going to be another song of his. Perhaps the second single that we can be expecting any day now.We know that it’s gotta be SOMETHING, because he even capitalized the first letters in Watermelon Sugar, just like you would in a song. And we know Harry is a king of grammar .But you know what else I noticed? This isn't the first time that we’ve heard “Watermelon Sugar”.Back when Do You Know Who You Are.com would give, quote “random” personalized messages, a few people actually got “You are Watermelon Sugar” as their personalized positive message.
