Haze shuts 298 schools in Sarawak, Sri Aman hits ‘hazardous’ level

The haze situation worsened in Sarawak, forcing 298 schools in eight districts to shut down on Tuesday morning (Sept 17) and affecting some 128,291 students.
The districts hit by very unhealthy air pollution levels are Betong, Bau, Kuching, Lubok Antu, Padawan, Samarahan and Lundu while Sri Aman reached the “hazardous” level, recording an API of 367 at 9am.
