Kim Kardashian West is known for her grand birthday celebrations, but will she be having a huge party this year too in light of everything that’s happened recently? Sources say no.
You’ve probably noticed that the social media queen aka Kim Kardashian West has been noticeably absent from social media since the Paris robbery incident. Usually Kim is known to celebrate her birthdays in Vegas or have huge parties with family and friends, but not this year. Although Kim was scheduled to party it up with her fans at Hakkasan Nightclub in Vegas next week, she has cancelled her appearance. A source told People Magazine that “She just wants to be with her kids and out of public. No one is pressuring her either. She has the best support from her family.” So it looks like we won’t be able to celebrate with Kim this year and it may not even be addressed on Keeping Up With The Kardashians since she has not returned to filming for the show. On top of dealing with constant media coverage of the robbery, she’s also had to deal with speculation from media and the general public on what really happened in Paris. This is a lot for one person to deal with no matter how famous they are, so it makes sense that Kim has been staying close to family recently instead of making public appearances.
Even though she’s staying out of the limelight, she will not let people just publish anything about her. On October 8th, Huffington Post contributor, Sharika Soal published a post that quoted Kim allegedly saying that the robbery was a “publicity stunt gone horribly wrong.” According to TMZ, Kim is ready to take legal action if she does not receive an apology and retraction because that quote was taken from a satirical website. Kim’s lawyers sent a legal letter that outlines what happened that night in detail and goes on to say, “The robbery was not a hoax nor publicity stunt. For you to attempt to twist those horrible and traumatic events of the Paris robbery into a narrative concerning a publicity stunt and purported felony conduct by my client is not only perverse and highly offensive to my client (and to any reasonable person), but actionable.” Now the story has been pulled from the Huffington Post website, but Sharika told TMZ that “she's got nothing and if Kim sues, that's all she'll get.”
Well this should be interesting. Do you think it’s smart for Kim to have a low-key birthday this year and do you agree with her anger and potential legal action against the Huffington Post contributor?
