Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin has denied that he met with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the Prime Minister's Office to negotiate for a government post.

Hamzah stressed that he had never met Anwar during the PKR president's tenure as prime minister.

He said this in response to a question on a report which cited a source as saying that a key leader of Bersatu was recently seen at the PMO, believed to be negotiating for the 'survival' of certain leaders until the next party elections.
