Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali expressed his gratitude to the parties involved in the Zakir Naik civil suit for not objecting to Perkasa's application to intervene in the suit.
He said he wanted to say in advance that whatever decision made by the court should be respected and there should be no accusations on the courts decision once it was made.
Hindraf chairperson P Waythamoorthy and 18 others, including Bingkor assemblyperson Jeffrey Kitingan, outspoken lawyer Siti Kassim and Centre for Policy Initiatives director Lim Teck Ghee had filed the suit in March.
The plaintiffs also sought declarations that Zakir is a threat to national security, harmony and unity.
The High Court in Kuala Lumpur today allowed Perkasa's application to intervene in the suit as no objections were made by both sides.
