Iggy has responded. Oh and so has NickI! The faux-maybe-real feud between the female rappers continues! Remember the other day when Nicki Minaj blatantly "shaded" Iggy Azalea while accepting her "Best Female Hip Hop Artist" BET Award? Well now after the Internet has freaked out about it—Iggy has responded. She posted to Instagram: "I have to say the general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignor & honestly...lame." Oh yes there's more, "If I had won the BET award that would've been great but it wasn't my year & I don't mind -- so you shouldn't either." Ending with "...just let it go." But that's not all! Iggy also tweeted about Nicki, "...I think it's dope that there was even a debate & conversation about who would win 'Best female rapper'". Preach! And Iggy ended by congratulation Nicki Minaj, "...congrats to nicki for winning." It seems these posts by Iggy were prompted by Nicki Minaj's surprise Twitter Q&A this morning. Nicki tweeted, "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different." Ok ok blame it on us! Then in another tweet, "I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that.... That will never change my desire to motivate women to write..." So do you think Nicki said that because of all the online backlash from her acceptance speech? Either way, it looks like BOTH women just want to put this whole thing behind them. But you know how they should do that? Just freaking collaborate on a song already! Ok thanks.
