Former Petaling Jaya councillor Peter Chong, who is reportedly missing, was spotted crossing into Thailand in a bus, said inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar.
"I wish to confirm that Chong was detected crossing into Thailand at 6.30am on April 7.
"We have a photo of him crossing the Bukit Kayu Hitam border aboard a bus," he told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur.
