But challenges lie ahead, as he and his newly-titled wife, Emma, take on a staff of hundreds, two villages and a safari park, along with the enormous Elizabethan family mansion. In the attic, Ceawlin finds memorabilia his grandfather collected, including an original watercolour by Adolf Hitler. In the safari park, a new animal house is being built for ageing elephant Anne. Meanwhile, Emma is pregnant with the future heir to Longleat. But she finds herself missing her old life in London, and she wants to find a role for herself on the estate.
