Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail revealed today police have opened a total of eight investigations against a female police inspector who was recently implicated in viral videos, where she allegedly got into an altercation with the public and was rude towards several other police personnel, among others.

The officer has been suspended from official duties since last week, pending investigations.

Two of the investigation papers were opened under the Penal Code's Section 506 (criminal intimidation) and Section 186 (obstructing civil servants in the discharge of their public duties).

The police's Classified Investigation Unit, which is under the Criminal Investigation Department, is investigating the two cases.

The six others are disciplinary investigations, opened by the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department.
