The United States officially opened its embassy to Israel in Jerusalem on May 14, fulfilling a pledge by US President Donald Trump who has recognised the holy city as the Israeli capital. The ceremony was officiated by White House adviser Ivanka Trump and US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
