His success in the music industry first came in 2016 when he released “Sweatshirt.” The song was a huge success with over 27 million streams on Spotify and claimed its spot on Billboard's Top 100. The single also received the RIAA gold status. Following his first hit he later released another single titled “Hit or Miss” which also was a great success. The following year, Jacob released two EPs and went on a world tour. Sartorius also built a tremendous following of nearly 20 million people on Musical.ly.
