Jamal Yunos has made an appeal to the Attorney-General Tommy Thomas to acquit him from legal charges.
In the letter, he claimed that the charges against him were politically motivated, and he was moved to make the appeal following the acquittal of charges against Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
Speaking to reporters later, Jamal sarcastically called for the public to support Thomas whom he described as "kind-hearted and generous".
