Johari: Companies with no 'track record' signed MoUs in China during PM's trip

The government has been urged to explain how companies without a track record of performance were allowed to sign memorandums of understanding (MoU) with Chinese companies during Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's recent visit to Beijing.

Titiwangsa MP Johari Abdul Ghani, who is also a former deputy finance minister, requested that the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) clarify whether the selected companies underwent a screening process.
