Family members of the man slain at a petrol station in Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru visited the crime scene on Tuesday evening.
A religious ceremony took place at about 4.50pm, witnessed by the victim's wife.
In the incident on Sunday, the victim, in his 30s, died after he was stabbed and run over using a BMW car by a group of four men.
The murder that occurred at the petrol station was made viral on social media via video recordings made by members of the public who were at the scene of the incident.
