The wait is over. It’s time to relive the magical story of Jumanji, with the highly anticipated reboot, subtitled ‘Welcome to The Jungle’ debuting it’s first official trailer.
If you’re fan of the OG Jumanji, this revamped story is a little different. In fact, there’s no board game at all. This time around, 4 high school students discover an old video game while being forced to clean their school’s basement during detention.
Talk about nostalgia. Those graphics are bringing us back! But with a brand new game, comes a brand new way to play. In the Robin Williams led original, the kids unleashed the board game into the real world, whereas in this reboot, the kids are transported into the game, taking on the bodies of 4 different game avatars who we know as The Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillen.
And as the kids adjust to their new bodies, madenss ensues, as it should, because after all, this is Jumanji.
And through all the animal attacks, explosions, and overall chaos, we do notice a familiar face in that trailer, a Mr. Nick Jonas, who looks like he’s on the good team, so that’s a relief. Also making appearances are a gang of wild motorcyclists, a stampede of rhinoas, and a few very hungry hippos. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle hits theatres this Christmas.
