Katy Perry Wipes Out On Segway At Burning Man

And a disaster is exactly what went down when she decided to give the two-wheel contraption a go during her time at the Burning Man Festival this past weekend.
In a hilarious attempt to tack on “Segway riding through a dust storm” to her list of new things to try, Katy Perry ended up failing so miserably at the task that the scooter itself even tried to escape the embarrassment. Take a look:
Katy suitably captioned the video, “Obvious first time burner alert,” but seeing that the intense dust storm was most likely blurring her vision and blowing the Segway in all different directions, we’ll let this one slide and look past the lack of balance and coordination that was clearly occurring…
And shortly after her Scooter smashup, Katy’s family members obviously got word of the incident, when she posted another video of her father kindly giving her a lesson in Segwaying 101.
Yo dad, this is great and all, but where was this video BEFORE Katy decided to give it a try?! Regardless, she captioned this video with a simple “thanks dad” and whether that was complete sarcasm or not, Katy definitely learned a few valuable lessons over the holiday weekend.
