Kendall Jenner is suing a skin care company for 10 million dollars because they used her face without permission! Yikes.
That awkward moment when someone takes credit for your face and doesn’t tell you about it.
It’s a case of the face snatchers and the perpetrator is a skincare company called Cutera. They’ve used Kendall’s face in advertisements popping up all over claiming that their Laser Genesis acne treatment is responsible for Kendall’s flawless face. The advertisements first began surfacing in New York recently and have spread to numerous public places. Once Kendall caught wind, best believe her legal team was not having it and hit Cutera with an 8 figure lawsuit! It gave a laundry list of all of Kendall’s accomplishments and involvements, basically to show the judge that it’s a big flippin’ deal to use Kendall’s face without her permission. The lawsuit states it plain saying QUOTE - "Cutera's use of Kendall Jenner's name and likeness is not, and never has been, authorized. Cutera has never sought Ms. Jenner's permission to use her as a 'face' for its products and services, and Ms. Jenner has never given such permission.” Can’t just be using people’s faces without asking first, come on now.
On top of suing the skincare company out the butt, Kendall is also seeking a restraining order and a ban from using her name or likeness. Her lawyer spoke out about it saying QUOTE - "The right to associate Kendall Jenner's name and likeness in connection with a product or service belongs solely to Kendall Jenner and is protected by Federal and State law. Today's lawsuit by Ms. Jenner against Cutera, Inc., for the unauthorized use of Ms. Jenner's name and likeness to promote its product should serve notice that Ms. Jenner will vigorously defend her rights under the law." In other words, shiz is getting real.
