Projek Laluan Rel Pantai Timur (ECRL) telah berjaya menyempurnakan kerja pemasangan landasan sepanjang kira-kira 400 km jajaran utama dari Maran, Pahang hingga ke Kota Bharu, Kelantan lebih awal daripada yang dijadualkan.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL), Dato' Sri Darwis Abdul Razak, berkata kejayaan pemasangan landasan ECRL didokong oleh penggunaan teknologi termoden dan canggih dari negara China serta memaparkan dedikasi dan kerjasama erat pasukan ECRL di sepanjang jajaran relnya, katanya ketika ditemui pemberita petang tadi di Tunjong, Kelantan.
