An individual's vaccination status will not be affected if they decide to refuse the booster dose, said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
"The booster dose, or lack of the booster dose, will not affect your status of being fully vaccinated."
He told a press conference today that the government is not making it compulsory for any vaccine recipient to get a booster dose but highly recommends it.
He said they would start offering them to certain groups, such as senior citizens, those with comorbidities, frontliners, and those who are immunosuppressed or immuno-compromised.
