Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad proposes that if the police fear that untoward incidents may happen during the highly anticipated debate between former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz, the said debate should take place at the Police Headquarters at Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur.
He also responded to a question from a journalist about whether he as Shah Alam MP had received any complaints about the debate that was slated to be held in his constituency, to which he replied no.
Police recently revoked their permit for the hot topic debate after receiving complaints from members of the public about the safety of the planned venue and its surroundings.
