Khalid says ready to work with Umno, PAS in GE14

Former Selangor menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim on Saturday announced his readiness to work together with both Umno and PAS in Selangor for the upcoming 14th general elections.
"I will work to help Umno, but I have told my friends in PAS who had helped me in the past, I will also help them, to unite the ummah (people)," Khalid told a press conference after attending the Selangor Umno convention at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
Pressed to clarify his stand, Khalid said that he has maintained ties with both Umno and PAS, with the ultimate agenda of ensuring continuing progress for the people of Selangor.
Khalid was previously a member of Umno for almost 30 years before joining PKR in 2006.
