Keeping Up With the Kardashians ALMOST didn’t happen and it was all because of Kim Kardashian’s demands.

To be honest, if Kim didn’t fight for what she wanted, the show probably wouldn’t be what it is today.
‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ has been on TV for over a decade now. The show made its debut October 2007 and has been going strong since. While ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ turned the KarJenners into the pop culture icons they are today, there was almost a SLIGHT chance the show didn’t happen. I know, I know, the world would’ve been so different, right?!
Anyway, Kim opened up to The Business of Fashion and revealed what almost stopped ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ from happening. She told B-O-F QUOTE, “My family has [played] a huge role. I remember when we talked about doing the show, and it was me in all the meetings, and I’m like, ‘I’m really not that exciting. I definitely need my family here, or it’s not going to work.’”
Now if you know the KarJenners – which, how could you not? – there are a TON of members in the family, so of course there was some hesitation as to how it would all even work. Kim recalled the TV company thinking it wouldn’t be a great idea to incorporate her whole family into the mix because there would be too many characters for the show they had in mind but she stood her ground and ultimately got her way.
Kim continued the story and said QUOTE, “We were like, ‘No, it’s our dynamic, take it or leave it.’” And I guess you could say the rest is history.
