The Kardashian ladies cover the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter to celebrate 10 years of their reality TV success. And there’s so many juicy reveals in their cover story. This includes Kim’s infamous wedding to basketball player Kris Humphries back in 2011. Kim got super candid about how it almost ended before she walked down the aisle. “I thought maybe it was just the pressure of the show giving me this anxiety. My friends told me I just had cold feet, but even the producers said, ‘You don’t seem happy. You don’t have to go through with this.’” Kim then revealed her Mom Kris took her aside the night before the wedding and offered to let Kim run away. “I felt like, if I pulled out now, everyone’s going to think I just did it for the show. Then afterwards, people were saying, ‘You have to stay married for a year,’ but I physically couldn’t do it.”
Kim took the opportunity to prove once and for all the wedding was NOT for TV ratings, “If it was for the show don’t you think we would have found someone that signed off? Someone OK with getting married and getting divorced two months later?” Okay, Kim actually has a good point. Kris Humphries definitely did NOT walk away quietly after their high profile divorce.
As you know Kim is now happily married to Kanye West. Kim also dished on those surrogacy rumors and had an interesting statement saying quote, “There have been a lot of things said and Kanye and I have not confirmed anything. We’re definitely trying. We are hoping so.” Okay, we’re officially confused- is there or is there NOT a surrogate situation happening?
Speaking of things not happening- you won’t be seeing Kendall’s reaction to her Pepsi ad backlash on Keeping up with the Kardashians. Kim spoke up in the interview and revealed she witnessed Kendall crying over how the media painted her after the ad was released. Kim wanted Kendall to speak out on the controversy saying quote, “‘This is wrong. You need to speak up.’ She was like, ‘I don’t ever want to show that footage of me crying.’ She was trying to not make excuses or be dramatic, but that was what she was going through.”
Interestingly there’s not much from Kylie in the cover story, and Rob Kardashian isn’t mentioned at all. What do you make of Kim’s wedding cold feet? And what about that surrogate comment? Weigh in below. Then click here to see Kim apologize for defending Jeffree Star’s racist comments. As always I’m your host Renee Shafii, thanks for tuning in.
