Election Commission (EC) chairperson Mohd Hashim Abdullah refused to field questions from journalists after announcing the polling date for the 14th general election at a press conference in Putrajaya this afternoon.
Despite repeated shouts of "Tan Sri! Tan Sri!" to get his attention, Hashim exited the venue.
Election Commission announced May 9 (Wednesday) as the polling date for the 14th general election while the nomination of candidates will take place on April 28.
The campaigning period will be for 11 days.
