#KiniNews: Bersatu lodges report over false claims linked to Hamzah | MACC denies allegation

[KiniNews] Several Bersatu Youth leaders have lodged a police report claiming false corruption allegations have been made against opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin.

Hamzah's personal secretary Ahmad Ikhwan Fadhli made the report at the Dang Wangi police headquarters, accompanied by Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal.

"The police report is to open an investigation into any conspiracy or intervention of any government agency to implicate Hamzah's name, either through (direct) corruption or projects," Ikhwan told reporters after lodging the report.

Meanwhile, Wan Fayhsal claimed that the accusations against Hamzah were “political assassination” attempts on Bersatu leaders.

Yesterday, Hamzah called the implication of his name in four graft charges against a "Datuk Seri" a political ploy aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

The MACC in a subsequent statement denied the accusations, saying their investigations were based on solid information and evidence and they did not take sides when prosecuting a suspect.
