[KiniNews] Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation into an alleged incident which took place outside a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

“With reference to the incident that happened at St Regis Hotel Kuala Lumpur on May 28, I was informed the following day and I immediately urged the police security escort team to cooperate with investigations."

“I hope the authorities will take action in accordance with the law and give the victim justice,” he said.

Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said Bukit Aman will summon all officers involved in investigating the case and will take strict action against any officers found guilty.

Earlier, Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Mohd Isa said the case remains under active investigation and it will follow due process with the findings presented to the deputy public prosecutor for further action.
