[KiniNews] Zaid Ibrahim is toying with the idea of appointing Rafizi Ramli as the next MACC chief commissioner - all thanks to a suggestion from a Malaysiakini reader in the comments section.
“That comment caught my eye. I couldn’t help but mull it over and, well, here we are,” he told Malaysiakini.
The former law minister thinks Rafizi looks like a solid pick - at least on paper.
“And let’s be honest, he definitely ticks the ‘brave’ box that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim keeps going on about,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has summoned the party’s newly elected leadership to meet and have a post-mortem of last week’s internal polls and decide on appointed office bearers.
Amirudin Shari, who retained his vice-presidency, said on the agenda is also a discussion on an appointed post for Rafizi, who was ousted as party deputy president on Friday.
