DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang says that he himself will step up and defend former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak if he is truly a victim of political vengeance.
"If he can show that he is truly a victim of political vengeance, I am willing to champion his case," he told reporters in Semenyih today.
Lim questioned if such claims were true, however, citing how Najib was not forced to appear in court wearing an orange MACC lockup jumper, as well as being allowed by the court to pay his bail in two instalments.
He also lauded the MACC's treatment of Najib, and hoped that this would be the new practice by the graft-buster.
