Veteran DAP leader Lim Kit Siang made an appearance at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court this morning, where two DAP assemblypersons have been charged over purported links to defunct terrorist group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
Suspects were escorted in and out of the courtrooms by plain-clothes police personnel wearing balaclavas.
12 men have been charged under under Section 130J of the Penal Code, which deals with the offences of soliciting or giving support to terrorist groups or for the commission of terrorist acts which carry a maximum punishment of life imprisonment or not more than 30 years in jail.
