Kylie strips down for an interview with Violet Grey and reveals that she watches your lip kit reviews on YouTube, plus more!
Despite being one of the biggest social media stars on the planet, Kylie has always been a little more mysterious than most--until now.
In a brand new and more-candid-than-ever interview with beauty site Violet Grey, Kylie opened up about how her dream to helm Kylie cosmetics came about, which Kardashian family members chat via group texts, and what she plans to do with Kylie cosmetics in the future. Plus, she had a stunning photo shoot for the spread as a nice added bonus for fans of the makeup mogul..
When asked about how her idea for Kylie cosmetics came about, Kylie explained QUOTE, “I always knew I wanted to create my own lipstick. I said, ‘We need to trademark Kylie Lip Kit’—that was what I wanted to call it...I was obsessed with lips in general, and with making my lips bigger before I got them injected. Usually, when girls do their lipstick, they use a lip liner and a lipstick, and they never have a match, so I just created a perfect match, because that’s what I’ve always wanted.” And thus, a makeup empire was born. And as far as the future of her line, Kylie assured fans that she isn’t going anywhere, saying QUOTE, “I couldn't imagine anyone else taking over Kylie Cosmetics."
And on the subject of how she keeps in contact with her family, Kylie revealed that there are a number of group texts open with various family members to make sure everyone’s on the same page--and yes, Scott Disick is including in one of them. She told the beauty site QUOTE, “the main one is with my three older sisters, Kendall, and my mom. Then we have one with that group plus Scott, then we have a separate one with that group plus Rob.” Wow, can you just imagine being a fly on one of those group chat walls?! #Goals.
And when it comes to how Kylie improves her makeup kits, she admitted that she sometimes watches her fan reviews online, saying Quote, “When I’m interested I’ll go on YouTube and see what people are saying about Kylie Cosmetics, just to learn how I can improve.” She also admitted what a crucial role social media has played in her life, saying QUOTE, “Social media is everything to me. It can also be a negative space for celebrities. But what would we do without it?" Ain’t THAT the truth.
