Lawyer and activist Siti Kasim has been arrested by police for kidnapping and obstruction a public servant from carrying out his duties.
The arrest, which was broadcasted on Facebook live, is reportedly in regards to one of her clients.
Siti is reportedly accused of forcibly locking up her client, a woman, at her home.
In a Facebook posting on Thursday, Siti claimed her client had been "abducted" by the Selangor Islamic Department (Jais) and police, after reports were lodged by the client's mother claiming the client was mentally unstable and that her "faith was in question."
The woman is said to have moved out of her parents house to escape a "controlling" mother.
