Lawyer N Surendran says that he has received instructions from his client, former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim to immediately appeal the decision of the court to strike out the challenge against his sodomy conviction.
The appeal was filed in the wake of allegations that the prosecuting lawyer in the case, Shafee Abdullah, had received over RM9.5 million allegedly paid by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
