Over the weekend Liam Payne shared a sweet Instagram photo confirming his girlfriend Cheryl had given birth to their first child. The photo sees Liam tenderly hold the tiny baby in a polaroid snap. Liam wrote in a lengthy caption QUOTE, "My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless...wow! I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life..."
Liam went on to gush about his girlfriend Cheryl saying, "I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true." And then the singer dropped a huge shocker NO ONE saw coming- the baby still has no name.
Cheryl posted the same sweet pic of Liam and the newborn on her Instagram and revealed when the baby was born writing,"On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts." The parents didn’t give any further details as to why after 5 days, they still hadn’t decided on a name.
Don’t worry, we’ve got some guesses! In an interview back in 2012 Cheryl told GQ she liked the baby name Alfie for a boy. Meanwhile Liam told Hits Radio during his time in 1D, “I like the name Taylor. Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That’s what I’m going to call my first child If I had children.”
