Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Liew Vui Keong said that a proposal on alternatives to death penalty will only be available in January next year. Speaking to reporters at a forum in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, Liew added that a task force, formed in August, needed several more weeks to fine-tune the report before it is ready to be submitted to the Cabinet.
