Lion Air flight JT-610 has reportedly crashed minutes after taking off from Jakarta.
The Jakarta Post reported that the plane took off at 6:20am and lost contact with ground control at 6:33am.
According to Indonesian officials, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 passenger plane was on its way to Pangkal Pinang, in the Bangka Belitung Islands.
188 passengers and crew were on board the flight when it crashed into the sea.
