Dr Mahathir Mohamad has confirmed that the ex-aide of a Felda chairperson detained in connection with a corruption probe is a Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) leader.
Mahathir, who is Bersatu chairperson, said the party would take the necessary steps to protect this individual's interests as they believe that the individual is not involved in any corrupt practice.
