Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali arrived at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport in Kuantan this morning.
The Harapan chairperson is expected to hold a public talk in Pekan tonight, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
Previously, Pekan Umno division committee member Abdul Rahim Yahya had told Malaysiakini that it was better for Mahathir's programme to be cancelled as there "will be fights".
Rahim said many youths in the area had approached him about Mahathir's visit and they were planning to do “many things”.
