Transparency International (TI) today released its Corruption Perception Index (CPI) for 2018 with Malaysia scoring an unchanged 47 points from 2017, but improving its ranking by one notch from 62 to 61 among 180 countries.
TI Malaysia (TI-M) president Akhbar Satar said that if the new Malaysian government kept up its momentum to fight corruption, the efforts may be reflected in next year's rankings.
