A TikToker has issued an open apology for claiming in a viral video that he has been driven by desperation to sell his kidney.

The netizen, who goes by the username daddy_keacy on the video-sharing platform, said he made the claim due to debt issues that he faced.

"So I made the video as a 'shortcut' to whoever wanted to buy a kidney.

"And I did not realise that the video was set to Fyp," daddy_keacy said in the three-minute video uploaded on TikTok yesterday.
